Aims&Scope

The Journal of Autonomous Systems (JAS) aims to publish high-quality, peer-reviewed research advancing the theory, design, development, evaluation, and deployment of autonomous systems across physical and virtual environments. The journal seeks to bridge foundational research and real-world applications while promoting interdisciplinary collaboration.

JAS welcomes original research, review articles, and technical notes in areas including, but not limited to:

· Autonomous robotics (ground, aerial, marine, space systems)

· Self-driving and intelligent transportation systems

· Artificial intelligence for autonomy

· Multi-agent and swarm systems

· Reinforcement learning and adaptive control

· Human–robot interaction and collaboration

· Autonomous decision-making and planning

· Sensor fusion and perception systems

· Cyber-physical systems

· Distributed and decentralized control

· Edge AI and embedded intelligence

· Safety, reliability, and verification of autonomous systems

· Ethical, legal, and societal implications of autonomy

· Autonomous systems in healthcare, defense, agriculture, and industry

· Digital twins for autonomous platforms

The journal emphasizes both theoretical advancements and experimental validations.
