Dr. Ahmed Abu Hajar

Dr. Ahmed Abu Hajar is an Assistant Professor of Analytical Chemistry and a specialist in pharmaceutical instrumental analysis and drug quality control. Born in 1982, he has built an academic and administrative career marked by leadership, research supervision, and service to higher education in Syria. He taught at the University of Aleppo from 2007 to 2012 and has been a faculty member at the University of Idlib since 2015. From 2016 to 2021, he served as a scientific consultant to the pharmaceutical control laboratories of the Ministry of Health. He also chaired the Editorial Board of the Journal of Idlib University Research from 2019 to 2021 and currently leads the Research Journal of Maaref University of Applied Sciences. Dr. Abu Hajar has supervised a large number of master’s and doctoral students and serves on the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Atomic Energy Commission in Damascus. His administrative roles include Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Idlib, President of the University of Idlib, member of the Higher Education Council, and currently Scientific Vice President and Director of the Research Center at Maaref University of Applied Sciences today.
